Second Hand Noise
Where We Came From

SHN got its start in Dallas, Texas in 2005, when a group of friends, most of whom knew each other from working at a  law firm, got together for weekly "if we're all around and feel like it" jam sessions.  Those sessions usually involved three things: music, beer, and arguing about music and beer.

The band was surprised to find that they all liked the same kind of music and harbored the secret (sometimes not so secret) desire to play that kind of music in a band.  They gradually formed a set list of songs by Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters, Eagles, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Green, INXS, Tom Petty and Green Day, and started writing their own songs, too.  Over time, the locations for the jam sessions changed frequently, the personnel changed a little bit, the music got better, the band name changed, and the beer and arguing stayed about the same.

The Master Plan is to fashion the band into a supergroup, like Asia or Menudo, that will conquer the music industry and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity for all mankind, and particularly those in the Greater Dallas Fort Worth area.  Until the inevitable major label bidding war starts, however, the band will keep getting together to play music, drink beer and argue about the world's top 3 guitarists or beers.  They will sometimes do that in public, when they're all around and feel like it, and you are invited to join them.
